From July 22 through August 5, 2007, Troop 202 sent 18 scouts and adult leaders on its annual High Adventure Trek. Flying to Denver and travelling through Wyoming, Montana, South Dakota, and Nebraska, the troop first drove to the South Fork Ranch outside Buffalo, Wyoming and spent a day preparing for the Cloud Peak Wilderness trek and taking a practice horse ride. The next day two crews went out on different itineraries through the CLoud Peak Wilderness.

One crew began with a horse ride from the Hunter Trailhead to the Seven Brothers turnoff. From there they headed up to Medicine Cabin and Florence Canyon. They then went to Seven Brothers and Soldier Park, hiking out at the Hunter Trailhead. The other crew began at Coffeen Park and hiked over Geneva pass to Teepee Pole Flats. They then went past Poacher Lake, Lake Solitude, and Mistymoon Lake. They finally hiked over Florence Pass and met the horses at the Seven Brothers turnoff for a ride back to the Hunter Trailhead.

After a day recovering at South Fork, the troop visited the Little Bighorn battlefield and learned a lot about 19th century American history. The next day we travelled to the Black Hills in South Dakota with a stop at Devil's Tower in Wyoming. After spending a night in Spearfish, the troop visited Deadwood, Mt. Rushmore, and stopped by Wall Drug on the way to the Badlands. The next day we toured the Badlands, visited Wounded Knee, and attended the Oglala Lakota Nation Annual Pow-wow in Pine Ridge S.D., expanding the cultural horizons of many of the scouts in the troop. Finally we drove back to Denver the following day for the flight home.
