Troop 202 met at 8 A.M. on Saturday, February 28 to work on Derrick Breska's Eagle Service Project. The project was to fabricate and install benches for an outdoor open-air classroom at St Elizabeth High School in the Fruitvale District of Oakland. Over $6250 was raised in donations to fund the project. Derrick designed the project and worked with two welders to fabricate the benches. On the installation day the troop met to dig the post holes, place the benches, cement them in, fill the center circle, and landscape around the circle with native plants. It was a long day but the troop worked together to complete the project by 6:00 PM. The school was very appreciative of their new outdoor classroom.
