On April 26 2008, Troop 202 scouts and adults rerouted a section of the Palos Colorados Trail in Oakland's Joaquin Miller Park. Two fences were built and brush was spread to block off the old trail. Click the picture for more photos. |
ERIC BARNES' EAGLE PROJECT
April 11-13, 2008 |
On April 11 through 13 2008, Troop 202 scouts and adults replaced accoustic tiles in the Skyline High School music practice rooms. Over 400 tiles in four rooms were removed and replaced with new tiles. New cabinets and shelves were installed to hold music and instruments. Click the picture for more photos. |
SCOTT McBETH 'S EAGLE PROJECT
November 3-4 and 17-18, 2007 |
On November 3 2007, Troop 202 scouts and adults met to prepare the roofing beams and attach cork to a new message board for the dog walking areas in Joaquin Miller Park. On November 17-18 the board was assembled in the park. Two smaller signs were also made and installed. Click the picture for photos of the project. |
COLIN HO'S EAGLE PROJECT

On June 16 2007, Troop 202 scouts and adults gathered at the Cohen-Bray House in Oakland to help Colin Ho on his Eagle project. Colin's project was to landscape the back yard of the Cohen-Bray House, including the installation of a drip irrigation system. |
NICK BRESKA 'S EAGLE PROJECT
February 17-18, 2007 |
On February 17 and 18 2007, Troop 202 scouts and adults gathered at St. Bernard's School in East Oakland to help Nick Breska on his Eagle project. Nick's project was to replace 100 feet of splintered benches with new park style benches. In addition, Nick was also able to raise over $13,000 towards the project. |
STEPHEN BENNETT'S EAGLE PROJECT
November 5, 2006 |
On November 5 2006. scouts of Troop 202 manned five first aid stations in Oakland to train members of CORE in using first aid techniques during a disaster. The training day followed preparation sessions the day and week before in which the scouts learned first aid from a professional paramedic. |
ALEX AMY 'S EAGLE PROJECT
May 26-27, 2006 |
On May 26 and 27, 2006. scouts of Troop 202 gathered in Joaguin Miller Park to refurbish a bridge that had been severely weathered and eroded. About 25 scouts used rocks, gravel, dirt, and concrete to fill in eroded portions of the bridge that was built in the 1930's. |
MATT GREER'S EAGLE PROJECT
February 11, 2006 |
Scouts of Troop 202 built two fences in Joaquin Miller Park to prevent cyclists from riding over and destroying native habitat. The project involved laying out and digging post holes, aligning the fence with rails, and filling in sand to support the posts.Through hard work and planning, the project was completed in one day. |
MATT VIOLET'S EAGLE PROJECT
June 18, 25, and 26, 2005 |
Scouts of Troop 202 painted two signs and constructed four fences in Oakland’s Joaquin Miller Park last June. The project took three days of work to complete helping to enforce the prohibition of bicycles on the narrow Palos Colorados Trail, making it safe for hiking. |
STEPHEN AUYEUNG'S EAGLE PROJECT

On two consecutive Saturdays in May, Troop 202 built two memorial benches and installed them at Thornhill School. The benches surrounded two Mulberry trees and provided a place for Thornhill students to sit. Click the photo below for a summary and pictures of the project. |
SCOUTING FOOD DRIVE

On November 13 and 20, 2004, Troop 202 and Pack 202 distributed bags and collected food items as part of the annual Scouting for Food drive. In all over 1550 items of food was collected. Click the photo below for a summary and pictures from the food drive. |
ARTHUR LEVINSON'S EAGLE PROJECT

On three consecutive weekends in late March and April, Troop 202 built three benches and installed them at Montera Middle School.
